Have fun with colour

Gone are the days of rules and limits to decorating your wedding.  And this means that there no boundaries on creativity and you can let your wedding décor ideas reflect your personality.

Don’t be afraid to be bold and playful with colour.  Mix turquoise, burnt orange, lavender, burgundy and sunshine yellow to bring a fun and cheerful mood to your celebration.  By selecting a lot of colours you are able to choose between luxury and seasonal flowers. Or go for both with only pops of lilies, orchids and fragrant cluster roses here and there to enhance the beauty of the arrangements.

For Wendy and Jim’s wedding at the Farm Inn, SA Wedding Décor mixed these vibrant colours in a vintage way to create a traditional rustic look, but with a fun and happy vibe. The bouquet was a country cascade of mixed blooms including purple vanda orchids, red berries and imported tulips. The intimate single guest table featured burlap, consol jars (with fairy lights inside) and a deconstructed floral runner in magnificent colours from one end of the banquet table to the other.

Our energetic and bubbly bride gave us the freedom to design her wedding décor, with her only specifications being what colours to use. This brief enabled us to select the most beautiful blooms and flowers at the market at the time of her wedding.   Needless to say the tone was set for a festive evening and the celebration complimented the happiness on the tables.
